The Uniter was a UUCUC newsletter published sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly. Here are announcements from various 1972 issues.

“SUNDAY SERVICES – Since CM [Channing-Murray] is indeed a church foundation, we do hold services on Sunday. But since CM is a Unitarian-Universalist church foundation, the services are somewhat less structured than most. Interesting discussions usually result, but they would be much more interesting if there were more people to take part. Ron Szoke and Oressa Earl have just finished a three week series on alienation. Following Bill Taylor’s presentation this week, there are plans to have Margaret Brengle speak of parapsychology, as well as possible speakers from the consumers’ union.” October 4, 1972

“SIX POUNDS OF SHORTENING!!! – Will the person who left 6 lbs. of shortening in the basement kitchen refrigerator please take it away!” October 10, 1972

“U-U CAMPOUT – Several U-U’s got together for a summer camp out. This time we went to Turkey Run and eventually we all found each other. Bill Cochran drove around for an hour and a half late one evening before he finally parked. The next morning he and Jimmy joined us for breakfast. The delicious meals were planned by individual families. Each woman did one meal, [and] there were times when some of us were serving 20 or so people. Those who attended were: 5 Bridgefords, 3 Cochrans, 4 Parrys, 3 Grosses, Johanna Steinberg, David Korpurgo, Janice and Art Martin, John Alluman, and 4 McGlatherys. Quite a group wouldn’t you say? May I be trite and say, ‘a good-time was had by all!’ Let’s do it again.” October 29, 1972
